Psychology vs. Philosophy...

Alright so I'm in a position here. I'm trying to choose my major for college, but I'm stuck between two choices. Here let me give you a bit of history...

Since I was twelve I've known I wanted to do something with my life that helps people. And since I was twelve I knew I wanted to be an adoption lawyer. This year though I realized I couldn't just be an adoption lawyer so I expanded the idea into becoming a Family Lawyer. After talking the idea over with a friend of my moms and mine and asking a whole bunch of questions I realized that I need to choose a major that has to do with critical thinking and something that will help with my future job.

After a bit of research I came up with two choices. Psychology and Philosophy. I decided to research each and see how it fit with family law. So far psychology is taking the lead because it can help me more with adults and how they think, why they did what they did, and so on. That's what I'm looking for. I still need to research more about Philosophy but we'll see where it all goes.

What do you guys think? Opinions, comments?
